We had our first rehearsal on Tuesday and by Friday we were performing to none other than Labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn. Friday night (Sep 29th) was the open evening for Elizabeth House, where we rehearse, and Jeremy was in attendance to hear a range of music, from steel pans to pop. Conductor Hannah says: “We were thrilled to perform for everyone at Elizabeth House, and it was great that Jeremy took time to speak with members of our choir and offer his congratulations. Our first performance went well and hats off to the singers for being so professional and slick so soon!” We are accepting new members, especially tenors and basses.
